Goodbye... on a sweet note.

Hello Arnia here for my last post ever...

So I'm going to go out on a sweet note!

Today has been nice and we were extremely lucky because since it is our last day we got a sausage sizzle it was yum but I not a huge fan of meat so I gave most of it too my friend but I got some grape flavored fizzy. I did my Presentation today it was a big success I checked off all the above ( I think).

So today I am going out with a big bang but my very last day will actually be next Monday for sharing night which is also my leavers night at 7:00 I will also be collecting my art stuff from the 4 Pieces blogpost look at that to know what I'm talking about!

So that is all so Goodbye followers and there will be NO more blogposts from now on.

4 Pieces

Today I was connecting 4 pieces. It worked out better than we thought.  I shared my art with a friend. I see her a lot of the time and we share the same ideas.  We are Like Minds, somehow that feels creepy but...

I know it isn't.

Art today with Arnia!
Today at Art Today with Arnia we will do some Abstract art so let's start!
Step 1. You RaNdOmLy put tape everywhere leaving gaps YOU MUST LEAVE GAPS! or it will look very WeIrD.
Step 2. Then you paint the GAPS with colors like... Well lets make this exciting! I SEE RED, I SEE PURPLE, I SEE ORANGE!
Step 3.  LET IT DRY! then peel off all the tape.


Drumming is the Bomb!
Tick Tick boom...  The bomb is gone and the drumming starts and we are off! I am mastering these fills and beats like it's karate! AND I'm catching up on Kavarn like it's Tai Kwon-do!

Climbing Up The Ladder Of Learning

Once again I meet the Ladder of learning. I meet it but I just   climb up again to get to the top so here are places where I faced him.

Drumming
TAT TAT TAT, go the drumsticks hitting the rebounder pad as I practice a new beat. ''SWAP OVER'' says Mr. Painter so Kavarn jumps off the drum kit and I get on. I learnt two new beats on the kit, one was hard and I kept mucking up but that was because I wasn't used to kicking the Bass Drum right after the sneer! The drumsticks kept bouncing twice when they were only meant to bounce once but at the end I got it! Then most was smooth as a babies bottom.


Affective Study
As I tick off my sheet I wonder if Jenni will think it is good after I go get her and she reads it and watches the videos and eventually says "Yes'' which means I'm finished because I had checked off my AT stage so all I have to do now is proof read and then I'm done!


Patterns Workshop
Nicola wasn't here today so Jenni was here and she took the workshop we now have to do a BIG BIG crossword sheet but Sophia and I teamed up so it might be easier between us both!

Tapping to my Beats

Woo hooo! First week back at Enrich. It has been as great as it can get. I finished my Prezi I am at the AT stage for my Affective Project. I will be trying for ABOVE but for now I am at AT stage! My passion project has changed! And we had a technology challenge today!

Passion Project!
Today I started a new Passion Project. It is drumming. The reason I changed is because my astronomy project didn't work because I wasn't passionate about it, but we found the drumming teacher and asked if I could join his group. We learnt on a set of electronic drums that still make the sounds of normal drums. It is all triggered when you hit the pads, it goes very very quickly through cords and ends up in your headphones. Plus when you hit your hands with the drumsticks your reaction will be "OUCHIE". I learnt two new beats that I can practice at home as I have a set of drums at home I can practice on, but I may need to move them inside and out of the garage. I had a trial session today, which I passed (Yay!) so I can continue with the drumming teacher next week. We call him Mr. Painter. I look up to him cause he is teaching me my drumming and I love it!

Technology Challenge
For our technology challenge today we had to build a chair and we had 45 minutes to do this. My team was Sophia, Miro, Alex and Nathan we all worked well together, but Nathan kept mucking around but we finished in time so we made a table for decoration but we still had time so I made a glass of water, a mini newspaper that you can actually read and a sandwich but Miro kept stealing it. In the end another chair won but I think we won for the Prettiest Chair although it was not announced to the rest of the class!

The Hubble Telescope Satellite

3, 2,  1...... BLAST OFF. My astronomy project started off with a blast and is still going now. I have been looking at The Hubble Telescope which is a satellite that orbits earth taking mind-blowing photos of the universe that we couldn't see - even if we did use a telescope. Here is one of my favorites in a photo

It looks like God's eye looking at you. It looks really, really cool plus the orange makes it stand out a lot more than it already would have. I still don't know how they are created but I will be studying that soon after I get information on the stars themselves. This project won't just blast off - it will make the history book of my life but there is always a down part which will always happen ! Here is today's little saying. |

Astronomy Project

I wasn't here last week so when I heard that Performance had finished I was panicking a bit but I knew I needed a Passion Project luckily I had pre-planned that I wanted to do Astronomy and focus on the stars and the night sky so Darryn said I had to make a plan of what I needed and what I was going to do!

I created the plan and my passion project can connect to Art so I am thinking of doing some paintings of the stars! 

Sewing

I went to a workshop with Sophia a sewing workshop we made little pockets and I am putting even smaller pockets to go on the sides but mine is going to be like a little purse that you can carry your money and lip balm in it is going to be amazing!

A Change is Always Nice

You guys all know that I was doing Usain Bolt for my Enrich studies?  Well I changed to Markus Pierson who is Swedish and is the creator of minecraft. As everyone says a change is always good see |

I think I might have a saying of the day comment - if you think I should please comment yes or no. Performance was cool  today although Nicola was a bit sad but all continued to the plans as it should! Sadly this week was the last week of Writer's Studio .Writer's Studio only went for four weeks and you guys all know that my story is called UNKNOWN. Its now about a girl called Christine Black - she is now the girl not me.  If you haven't read the blurb on the previous blog post I recommend it highly cause it tells you more about the story then I could right now!

Out and About Again

Nichola took us out again. This time we were walking past the movies then BAM! Nichola told us to get on the bus, so we did Nichola paid and we went on a drive in a loopty loop nearly right round town!

Well now it has a different perspective not just the little girls perspective now it has a Journalists perspective, he followed them from his office. All books have that info blurb on the back this is mine so far!

He takes the girl, but they do not know they were followed by a journalist and he was there watching their every movement. Will they escape? Find out in this Unknown Story!

Darryn told us we can plan our whole day and I took control of my day in a good way this is how I make sure most things go to plan!

  I cross out the things I have done in Green if I missed it I cross it out in red and the blue circles are the one I am doing out of those options and they can be crossed in green or red depends!

Really stalkers at this AGE!

Today I learnt something really awesome but totally weird about writing no one really cares when you walk around town and right stories about them that isn't true. Nichola showed us so we walked round town and took notes about people and then we made stories up about them mine is about a kidnap and a robbery both done by the same person and then... you will have to read it to find out. Anyway lets stop about the stalking and story making and start talking about my Enrich learning. In Performance we were very naughty and needed mug shots no just kidding - Nichola thought they would be cool on the empty wall she had new lamps so she put them facing up the wall like the lights that shine round the Statue of Liberty at night kind of like that then we laminated them that was my very first time ever. Blake tried to put the paper in without the seal that would have turned out very bad if Nichola hadn't stopped him first!

First Day Turns Out Better Than I Thought

Today at Enrich the Performance room was changed and we now have a sliding door  and we changed it round so it looks completely different. We face another way, we also have a changing room kind of thing but we don’t use it for that reason.  Oh and the sliding door is soundproof (awesome aye!) the only bad things are that Nichola feels a bit too far away from us and the lamp blew AGAIN! Otherwise all was good.

Then we started discussing our new study which is actually a study about a gifted individual that we look up to. We get to choose who we study and it is homework so we do have to do some of this at home.  I am gonna study Usain Bolt the fastest man in the world but we can also study people like Steve Irwin, Albert Einstein, William Shakespeare and J.K. Rowling plus other people like this!

Cumulonimbus

Today I am writing the parent e-mail Yay !

Passion Project today was awesome, we did this thing where Nicola would play some music and we did things like we were in the Himalayas freezing our butts off! and we were also slaves from the Egyptian  times! Instead I was a girl who went to get water from the river in the blazing jungle and we were people with leprosy. I had two lepisized legs so I was pulling myself across the ground!

I also did Cloud Patterns this morning Nicola taught us once again. We learnt what the different clouds mean. My favourite would be Cirrus clouds cause they look like a surfing wave at California/New Caledonia but they are white and fluffy not blue and wet! We also made diagram called a Cloud finder it tells us what they mean!

Cirrus - High wispy ice clouds. Often seen in clear skies and means 

good weather or a change in the weather.

Stratocumulus - Dark, heavy water-droplet clouds at low or lower middle heights.

Rain or Snow very likely.

Cumulonimbus - Giant thunderhead clouds that tower to high heights.

Thunderstorms with heavy rain, hail, winds and lightning are on the way!

Stratus - flat layer of low clouds. Light rain, drizzle, or 

flurries likely overcast skies at the best.

Cumulus - Fluffy lower clouds that often "grow" during summer days usually 

mean fair weather unless they grow tall late in the day!

Altocumulus - thick blue-gray blanket like clouds made of Ice and water at 

middle heights. rain or snow likely or at least cloudy skies

Possible or Impossible

Hello guys what a nice day, today it has been very sunny. I have done a lot of things today but can't tell you all of them but I will start with P4C with Jenni and Darryn. The P4C topic today was Possible or Impossible. We started off with questions that you went to the left side for "No" and the right for "Yes" they were questions like "Is it possible that you will become Rich and Famous?" and of course I said Yes! I learnt that anything is possible through "Theory". Well thats a rough taste of what we did at P4C. Next I will tell you a little bit about Performance. Although I kept forgetting how to stand. At last I figured it out. Hands by your side and legs apart! We practiced our song "Like an Eagle" and we got solo parts as practice. I still have a very irritating little warm up in my head! WARNING WHAT YOU ARE ABOUT TO READ WILL GET STUCK IN YOUR HEAD! 1, 121, 12321, 1234321, 123454321, 12345654321, 1234567654321, and then 8, 87654321. As it will be stuck in your head for a very long time!

I Cracked the Eggshell

I was Humpty Dumpty Private Egg Hard Boiled Detective in a monologue show. I felt scared when Blake Said “Lights, Camara, Action!” and I felt confused when I was missing gaps! I had a plain but cool costume. I was a detective, thats an egg. That CRACKS me up! By the way a monologue is a couple lines that help the actors memory skills. 

And I am Humpty Dumpty Private Egg Hard Boiled Detective!

Apps Apps Galore!

Today Darryn took me, Izzy and some others for an ipad tutorial. (photo follows)

This is a drawing app that has this Spider Web affect

It is like a magazine style photo edit app 
you can even put a unicorn in your living room

Extreme FX:
This app can do amazing things like make an acid spitting monster 
come out from underneath your house

Simple Physics:
Isn't simple!  Its a game where you have to make structures that can carry 
TRAINS and keep people safe from bombs

Book Creator: 
It is where you can make your dream book for your mother, or a picture book for your school library

Lastly (but not an app for your Ipad)
Reflector is an app for your computer. On your ipad ipod iphone double tap the home button then tap the box with the arrow and your ipad ipod iphone's screen should appear on your COMPUTER screen!

Ok thats a big tutorial hope it helps  with your new apps but thats all for today

The Back up Plan!

A Back up plan. I need a back up plan! I am leaning towards astrology and art or the other way Singing and Songwriting. Then filming a Music Video afterwards. As for Art & Astrology I will buy a telescope,  look at the stars each night,  draw a picture and see if any stars have burned out or moved,  and design new constellations and checking others to make sure they are in different places while not using the same stars. but all of this depends on the choice...

It was a student led workshop led by Blake who taught me Algebra and some Fibonacci it was only thing I learnt because he was going to fast I couldn't keep up Phew!!!!!!

Drama and Blogs

Hey Guys! I might be starting a new blog or two. One will Be based on NORMAL school and the other one on the crazy things that happen in my Crazy house. Keep tuned for my other blogs I might send you my blog name or email when the blogs are up and running.

Games:
These are the games we played in Drama today.
YOU:
In this Game we had to say You! to someone and point at them but you have to say it quietly and get louder when the next person says it so you have to top it and if you can't you say it quieter than that person and then everyone has to get quieter through the group.

Props Game:
Props game I think you can guess what this is all about but if not I will explain! We would be given a prop. The prop would be passed round the group and you have to use in a way you wouldn't usually, so some could use a bowl as a hat but you can't tell them it's a bowl they've got to guess by using speech or actions. We used a piece of fur, a green sheet and a zebra patterned box lid. People did belts, elephant masks and bowls.

DUN DUN DUUUN! goes naughty Nicola at the surfers on the beach. (She is playing the theme from Jaws) Nicola is our drama teacher and she told us our two big numbers and they are ...

...you'll have to come to the show to find out but if you know singer Guy Sebastian and the rock band Queen you're sure to be singing along. Craziness is all I know about our show at the moment with Don't . Oops a daisy, ain't telling anyone unless they come to the show.

REAL DRAMA

Today I did Drama instead of passion time. I thought we would get passion time later on in the day but Darryn meant later in the YEAR!    I auditioned and made it in.  I sang the first verse and chorus of Who says by Selena Gomez.  We played a game called H.A.S.H. and H.A.S.H.T. 

H.A.S.H stands for happy, angry, sad and happy, the T stands for twitchy. We  played H.A.S.H.T. because there was four extra kids. Next week we will be starting REAL DRAMA.

Hi 5 everyone

My parents are in Australia and my little sister is in Cromwell and me ...

.. I am staying home. Enrich has been simple today, but I had to redo my passion project. I built a bed that wasn't finished in time and I am going to ring a lady called Sharleen to help me with my passion project. This entire term I will be working on a winter clothing line. I feel like five other people are doing the same thing but maybe they copied me? I HOPE NOT!

First Day Back

Hi everyone! Yes,  I am back at Enrich for my last year. I come on a Monday - no more Mondayitis for me.  All the students on Monday are year six and have been at Enrich for at least two years. I met some new friends Pippa, Miro and Luke. We also have a new teacher here called Nicola.... she is a performing arts teacher. She is my new favorite! Nicola is here because Alana moved to Perth - the second teacher that has left Enrich. We also have some new toys called Imaginez - you have a choice of what to build. You can build a house or a playground shaped like a rocket,  or even a seat or mini-plane. This has been a great year so far.
